Rosemary Pritchard

Rosemary Pritchard is a Hamilton-based painter and experienced art teacher. She developed a love for landscape/seascape painting during her time completing her Bachelor of Visual Arts in Auckland in the late 90’s. Her most recent body of work is in a realist, symbolic mode, exploring the concepts of journey, the passages of life and death, history and time based on the area of Whaingaroa (Raglan). Earlier themes in her work centred on regeneration and transformation using still life and plant forms. Through her paintings she encourages the viewer to search for deeper meaning and connections in life that transcend the physical and material.
Heritage Gallery is very pleased to show Rosemary’s work.
