Born in England and emigrating to Dunedin in 1954, Keith attended school there and at an early age showed great promise as an artist. At 16 he held his first exhibition and sold most of the 60 works on show.
In the 60s he moved to study at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts, attaining his diploma of Fine Arts in 1968. He exhibited widely throughout the South Island during that period.
In 1996 Fisher’s Fine Arts of Christchurch sponsored a painting and study trip to England, France U S A and Venice and Keith’s paintings are still influenced by this experience.
He is regarded as one of NZ’s leading watercolourists and has work showing in galleries in NZ and overseas. Many paintings have sold to buyers in the USA and throughout Australasia.
Heritage Gallery is very pleased to represent Keith in this area.
