Julian has his own unique view of the world which can be seen in his drawing style which involves intense pattern making of images both abstract and naive. His representational drawings with their simple subjects have moved people to tears at times as they convey a true purity of spirit.
Julian spends a lot of time working on his art at home. He is interested in doing detailed work with lots of texture. He likes making patterns but also likes to draw landscapes and people.
Julian’s drawings are done with fine pens which are lightfast. Some of his drawings are photographed and reproduced in editions of 3 to 5 using guaranteed lightfast archival inks. These are then hand painted using artist grade watercolours.
