Collection: Fiona Tunnicliffe

Fiona Tunicliffe’s passion for clay was kindled and encouraged during her school years. She undertook the ceramics course at Wanganui Polytechnic, expanding her knowledge and expertise under the tuition of George Kojis, Ross Mitchell-Anyon and Paul Windspear.

She has a Diploma of Ceramic Arts through Otago Polytechnic.

Now a resident of Putaruru, Fiona has exhibited extensively locally and received awards in the Bay Arts and Taupo Arts Society exhibitions.

She also has had work accepted for numerous exhibitions throughout New Zealand. Recent successes include the premier award at the 32nd Annual Waikato Society of Potters Exhibition and runner up in the Franklin Arts Society Exhibition.

Fiona is an experienced tutor.

Her love of animals and sense of humor is reflected in her creations.

That and the surface treatments of the clay, make her work distinctive and desirable.
