Francis Kirkham is a contemporary jeweller in the stunning Wairarapa region of New Zealand.

“I look out at the Tararua Mountains from my workshop and feel blessed every day I see them. My jewellery is simple and timeless. I want people to be wearing it for years and so I tread a narrow path between style and function. My wife and friends are always happy to wear my work to test it in everyday conditions (if you call gardening, tramping and rock climbing everyday stuff)."

He works with sterling silver mostly as it is very affordable, and  doesn’t mind experimenting with new ideas and creations. Sometimes, the idea comes in his sleep, other times by trial and experimentation.
