Dennis Fenwick

Dennis Fenwick is a local Cambridge-based artist working under the name DF Artistic. His work centres on creating acrylic garden art and custom house signs that bring colour, character, and a sense of place into our everyday outdoor spaces.

Inspired by New Zealand’s natural environment, Dennis often draws on native bird forms such as the fantail (Pīwakawaka), Tūī, Kererū, and Kiwi, alongside flowers, butterflies, and bespoke elements developed in collaboration with his clients.

These items frequently extend into his house sign work, where birds and other sculptural details are incorporated to transform functional house number signage into distinctive, personal pieces of art. 

Dennis works primarily with durable, UV-resistant acrylic, chosen for its ability to withstand the elements while maintaining its colour and clarity over time. This material allows each piece to function both as a sculptural object but also as a long-lasting feature wherever it is placed.
