Jay Lloyd

Bronze holds the same allure for Jay Lloyd as it did for all those who have worked it over the centuries.

He likes his work to have simple clear lines and takes pride in the hand crafted nature of what he does. The process is as important as the finished product.

Everything he makes is individually cast and finished by hand to capture the warmth and beauty for everyone to enjoy.

Jay and his family moved from South Africa to Waiheke Island in 2010 where he established his new studio and foundry.

He makes a variety from jewellery to sculpture and his work is exhibited throughout New Zealand. It is held in private collections in NZ, America, Europe and Asia.

Jay qualified in Industrial Design in the 80’s but has been fortunate that he has been able to follow a different path.
