Collection: Peter Latham

Peter Latham was a keen photographer from an early age, but didn't turn professional until he embarked on a bicycle expedition of the South Island of New Zealand in 1989, with 20kg of camera equipment!

A self-taught photographer, he spent many years travelling the world as a photographer on cruise ships and returned home to NZ in 2003, where he began experimenting with images on canvas.

Most of his work highlights the diverse beauty of New Zealand’s grand landscape and flora. Today, many of Air New Zealand’s business class “Koru” lounges are decorated with his art and pieces are avidly collected in New Zealand and overseas, including the family of the famous Swedish camera manufacturer, Hasselblad.

Peter has been the recipient of many awards and Heritage Gallery is proud to show his fabulous photography.
