Sandra Whyte

Sandra Whyte was born in New Zealand and has lived most of her life in Northland.

She works from her private studio, tucked away in a serene haven she has created for herself in Whangarei. Sandra has been described as being a naturally gifted realist painter. She has always had a passion for art and is largely self-taught.

Sandra’s paintings display a unique style of realism. She will have the viewer believing in a composition generally unobtainable to the human eye, adding an element of mystery to her work. A story unfolds as you recall memories of past images not unlike what graces the canvas before you. Being a keen tramper with a love of the land, flora and fauna, she continues to explore the possibility of creating visual memories of life’s reflections.
