Peter Black

Peter Black is a Hamilton based emerging potter who creates both functional and decorative ceramic vessels, suited to everyday living as well as special occasions.

Working primarily with Amaco glazes, Peter is drawn to the interaction of metallic tones and the unexpected moments that occur when glazes merge and move, resulting in one-of-a-kind finishes.

In 2022, Peter was awarded Best Emerging Artist at the 50th Waikato Society of Potters Exhibition.
