‘A Garden of Memories’ is a tender tribute to the delicate beauty of nature and the cherished moments it inspires. Soft white echinacea, with their serene petals, stand gracefully alongside striking blue eryngium, whose spiked textures add a sense of contrast and intrigue. Wisps of gaura and clusters of gentle verbena weave throughout the scene, lending a dreamlike quality to the composition. This painting invites the viewer to wander through a garden of nostalgia, where every bloom holds a story and every detail whispers of quiet reflection.

I named this painting ‘A Garden of Memories’ as my Nana and my Mum are both wonderful gardeners and we spent many many hours in their gardens, visiting garden centres and attending garden shows so I am very familiar with the flowers in the painting and it evokes very fond memories for me and I want to be transported into this scene.

I built up the painting in many layers to create the depth in the painting and foliage and I’m always wanting for the viewer to feel like they can step into the scene.
