Lake of Light

"As I drove past these beautiful kowhai trees around the shores of lake Taupo the day before, the weather was awful! But the next day looked to be improving, so despite having just got home to Auckland from a huge road trip around the South Island, I turned around & came back down here the next afternoon! After scouting various positions, I was satisfied that this was the best location, I then sat and waited for the evening's golden light to develop. It clearly didn't disappoint & I was so glad I had made the effort to return!"
