"As the sun rose in the east, the light was squeezed through a narrow slit of cloud above the Kaimai Ranges, which flooded the land with this gorgeous golden glow. With the backlit poplar trees of late June laid bare across these beautiful rolling hills, they remind me of the cyprus trees in Tuscany, which adds some intrigue "where is that?" Finally after years of wishing to capture a unique perspective of the Waikato region, this stunning panorama does just that, one I am proud to sign my name to (this was taken looking towards Matamata from the road that leads up to the Hobbiton film set)."
